Joe Cordina agrees terms to face Manny Pacquiao on Fury-Joshua card
Joe Cordina has agreed to terms for a proposed fight with Manny Pacquiao on the Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua undercard at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11, promoter Eddie Hearn said. Hearn told The Ring that Cordina’s side had agreed to the purse, but stressed the bout is not confirmed and they are waiting to hear back.
Cordina, 34, is a Cardiff-born former world champion who was cleared of assault charges after a trial in Cardiff. The proposed welterweight fight would give Pacquiao, 47, his first bout in the United Kingdom. Pacquiao’s most recent fight was a majority draw with Mario Barrios in July 2025.

Hearn floats David Adeleye as a possible Fabio Wardley opponent
Promoter Eddie Hearn said David Adeleye could face Fabio Wardley after Wardley’s second-round stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois, according to Seconds Out. Adeleye and Wardley previously fought in October 2023, when Wardley won by seventh-round knockout.
Former cruiserweight and heavyweight champion David Haye warned that continuing to fight would not be good for Wardley’s health, Boxing News reported. Haye said Wardley had missed important lessons in his development, while also saying he could continue to make great fights.
Ryan Garner to defend interim title against Jazza Dickens
Unbeaten WBC interim super-featherweight champion Ryan Garner will defend his title against former world champion James “Jazza” Dickens on January 9 in Bournemouth, the BBC reported. Garner is 20-0 and is making his first defense of the interim belt, which he won by beating Michael Magnesi in June.
Dickens, 36-7, returned to winning ways with a decision over Ramadhani Kimwaga in September after losing to Anthony Cacace in March. Promoter Frank Warren called Dickens a tough test for Garner.
