DUKE: Du Plessis Open to Soldic Trilogy After His UFC Debut NORA: So, Dricus Du Plessis is apparently open to a trilogy fight with Roberto Soldic, following Soldic's recent fight. DUKE: Not remotely. Soldic last fought on October third, two thousand twenty-six, beating Khaos Williams by unanimous decision.

Dricus du Plessis says he would welcome a trilogy fight with Roberto Soldic now that Soldic has made his way into the UFC.

Dricus du Plessis says he would welcome a trilogy fight with Roberto Soldic now that Soldic has made his way into the UFC. "I think that would be amazing. I think that fight would be awesome," du Plessis said. The comments come as Soldic gets settled in the UFC. He is coming off a unanimous decision win over Khaos Williams on October 3, 2026, a result that lines up with his arrival in the promotion. Du Plessis, for his part, is firmly in the title picture. Our Elo model has him rated at 1609 across eight tracked bouts, a number that reflects just how dominant his recent run has been. A trilogy with Soldic is not something the UFC has booked, and du Plessis has bigger business to attend to at the top of 185 pounds. But his willingness to entertain the matchup says something about how he views Soldic's arrival in the sport's biggest promotion. Fighters do not usually volunteer for rematches with someone they have already beaten once, let alone twice, unless they see genuine value in it, whether that is unfinished business or simply a fight they think fans would want. For now it is just talk from du Plessis, not a signed bout. But with Soldic now inside the UFC cage and du Plessis sitting near the top of the division, the pieces for a third fight are at least theoretically on the table if the promotion wants to build toward it.
