The UFC is back at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas this Saturday, and the main event is a legitimate top 10 collision. Brendan Allen, ranked fourth at middleweight, takes on tenth ranked Christian Leroy Duncan in a fight both Bloody Elbow and Combat Press frame as a potential springboard toward a title eliminator. Allen enters off a unanimous decision win over Edmen Shahbazyan back on June six, while Duncan is coming off his own unanimous decision over Jared Cannonier on July eighteen. Oddsmakers have Allen as a modest favorite at minus one hundred twenty to Duncan's plus one hundred ten, and our own model sees it almost dead even, giving Allen fifty-five percent. The numbers back up how close this one is on paper too, with Allen sitting at a sixteen ten Elo built over ten bouts against Duncan's fifteen fifty-eight across the same number of fights. Looming over all of it is Sean Strickland, who still holds the middleweight title after beating Khamzat Chimaev by split decision on May nine, but whose future with the promotion has been described as uncertain. A statement win in the main event could push either Allen or Duncan straight into eliminator territory. The co-main event pairs lightweights Matheus Camilo and Jai Herbert, both coming off first round knockouts, Camilo stopping Nazim Sadykhov in June and Herbert finishing Mandel Nallo in April. Camilo is priced as a sizable minus one hundred eighty-five favorite, with our model giving him sixty-one percent.
