Abdoulaye Kane Blasts Out Badr Medkouri At PFL Africa 3

Kane's first-round TKO of Medkouri headlined a sold-out Casablanca card on October 10 as PFL Africa set its 2026 playoff finalists.

Abdoulaye Kane needed just over four minutes to get the job done in his own backyard. The heavyweight stopped Badr Medkouri via TKO at 4:06 of the first round in the PFL Africa 3 main event, held at the sold-out Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, Morocco on Saturday, October 10.

Both MiddleEasy and Sherdog had the finish, with Sherdog specifically pointing to an elbow barrage from Kane as the fight ender. The win kept Kane rolling on home continental soil, and PFL Africa did not hold back in its own reaction, telling MiddleEasy that Kane brought explosive heavyweight fire to the main event stage and calling him an absolute titan in the cage while declaring that he rules Casablanca.

The bout was part of the PFL Africa 2026 Playoffs, and according to Sherdog the result helped lock in the promotion's tournament finalists out of Casablanca. MMA Mania's coverage of the card noted that three division finals were set on the night, putting Kane's name into the heavyweight final conversation alongside whoever else advanced on the rest of the card.

For Medkouri, the quick finish ends his run in this playoff cycle on home soil in front of a sold-out crowd, a tough way to go out given the setting. For Kane, it is another highlight-reel stoppage to add to his growing reputation in the PFL's African heavyweight pool, and it sets him up for a shot at the division final now that the bracket has narrowed.

Fans are already weighing in over on r/MMA, where a thread dedicated to the Kane versus Medkouri fight is generating discussion about the finish and what it means heading into the rest of the PFL Africa playoff run. Expect more chatter as the promotion firms up who Kane will face when the heavyweight final comes around.
