The Professional Fighters League is set to crown three PFL Africa champions on Dec. 12 at BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, according to Sherdog. Title fights are scheduled at welterweight, lightweight and bantamweight, giving the promotion's African tournament a full slate of finals in one night.

The name drawing the most attention is David Samuel, who heads into the card with a spotless 7-0 record. An unbeaten fighter closing out a tournament as the final hurdle is exactly the kind of resume PFL has built its regional circuits around, and Samuel's record makes him the most notable name on the entire card.

PFL has leaned heavily into regional expansion over the past couple of years, and PFL Africa is part of that push to build tournament pipelines outside the usual North American and European markets. Crowning champions in three separate divisions on the same night in Kigali gives the promotion three fresh storylines to carry forward, whether that means those winners get folded into PFL's larger global structure or simply become the faces of the Africa brand going forward.

For now, the specifics beyond the three weight classes and the Dec. 12 date have not been detailed, but the setup is clear enough: three tournaments, three finals, one show at BK Arena. For a division as thin on name recognition outside the region as this one, an unbeaten fighter like Samuel heading into the finale gives fans an easy entry point into a card that otherwise will introduce plenty of new names to the wider MMA audience.
