UFC Fight Night: Cortes Acosta vs. Walker heads to Las Vegas on November 7, with Waldo Cortes Acosta and Johnny Walker topping the bill. UFC.com and Sherdog are both running full main card and prelim coverage, with official scorecards to follow once the fights wrap.

Walker's path to this main event hasn't been smooth. Per Ag Fight, he dropped a lackluster bout to Dominick Reyes back in April, a result that left him with just one win in his previous five UFC outings and pushed him to abandon light heavyweight for heavyweight. The move has paid off so far: our data shows Walker's most recent fight came on October 3, a first round knee knockout of Mick Parkin at 3:35.

Reyes, meanwhile, has only strengthened his case since that win over Walker. He's ranked seventh at light heavyweight and, per our tracker, knocked out Azamat Murzakanov with a first round punch on October 24, stopping him at 2:40. Our Elo model has Reyes at 1545 across seven bouts, just ahead of Walker's 1524 over the same number of fights, a gap that tracks with Reyes handing Walker that defeat in the spring.

As for the man standing across from Walker in Las Vegas, our model gives this one a near even 48 percent split, about as close to a true pick'em as the numbers get.

Fans are already buzzing on r/MMA over the staredown photos from Cortes Acosta and Walker's faceoff, a sign of how much attention this heavyweight litmus test has drawn heading into fight night.
