Two former UFC title challengers made noise outside the cage as Darren Till edged Yoel Romero and Henry Cejudo took a split decision in his Misfits debut.

Saturday turned into a busy night for combat sports fans who like their fighters switching codes. Darren Till picked up a unanimous decision win over fellow former UFC title challenger Yoel Romero in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship action. It was Till's second BKFC bout, and it pitted two men who once chased UFC gold against each other with the gloves off.

The build up had already gotten fans talking. A thread on r/MMA centered on the Till vs Romero weigh in faceoff, with people picking through the staredown ahead of the fight for clues about how it might go. Turns out the judges saw it clearly enough to hand Till the nod across the board.

Down in Miami, Henry Cejudo made his own crossover statement. The former two division UFC champion fought Javon Walton in the main event of a Misfits Boxing card at the James L. Knight Center on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Cejudo defeated Javon Walton via split decision. That fight almost did not happen the way it was drawn up. Cejudo was originally booked against influencer boxer Deen the Great, but when he pulled out, Walton stepped in as the replacement.

Cejudo has now built a 1420 rating on our Elo, based on four bouts. Between his hands looking sharp against an actual boxer and Till proving he can still get a decision against a name like Romero, both former UFC fixtures gave fans reason to keep watching them in these new arenas. Whether either man circles back to MMA or keeps chasing paydays in boxing and bare knuckle, Saturday was a solid answer to anyone wondering if they still have it.
