Julian Erosa is calling it a career. The longtime UFC featherweight will make his last walk to the Octagon this Saturday, October 31, when he takes on Jeong Yeong Lee on the preliminary card at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, as first reported by Sherdog and confirmed by Yahoo Sports.

Erosa is walking away regardless of how Saturday goes. Both outlets note this is his final appearance under the UFC banner, closing out a run that has made him one of the more recognizable names on short notice calls and prelim cards for years.

His last time out didn't go his way. Erosa was finished by Lerryan Douglas via knockout in the first round at 3:33 back on March 28. Our Elo model has him at 1520 across seven tracked bouts, a number that reflects a fighter who has been in with plenty of tough outs.

The personal side of the announcement is getting as much attention as the fight itself. It's a quiet, practical reason for stepping away, not an injury story or a title chase, just a fighter choosing family over one more camp.

For Lee, it's a chance to end a UFC veteran's career on a loss and make a statement of his own on the prelims. For Erosa, it's simply about getting one more walk to the cage before trading the Octagon lights for life back home. Fans are already weighing in on how they want to see him send it off, but nobody's pretending this is anything but an ending written on his own terms.
